I have to agree that you've had too many political posts since the John Edwards announcement. Your shared links definitely bear out this point, too. Frankly, I wish you'd just stick to technology.

I know. I know. Seemingly, your point is NOT to be political, but to highlight how the new media will influence politics, which is a discussion that is continually amplified in the political blogosphere already.

You excel at geekery and technology--and those are definitely the posts I most enjoy reading.

Congrats. While I do think they got a lot of the influential bloggers on there, I think the research was a little sloppy... in addition to the tech / political messup, seems like they just yanked down the most obvious photos they could find - like Mike Arrington's was just him at the ball game from his about page ... there are much better photos out there. But still, what bugs me the most is how big media sites are breaking up numerical list articles into multiple pages in likely a plot to increase page views... blah.

But anyhow, ignore my rant... congrats on being an influencial blogger. You certainly are in my book! I look forward to reading your posts daily.

What an awful web page that forbes thing is.

An auto slide show that defaults at high speed so scobles blurb gets sucked to the next before I knew what was going on.

And of course Forbes missed the point that any global top (substitute your favorite number) list is made relatively insignificant by our web enabled ability to find exactly what we want within our own individualized needs and preferences. But it is good to see some bloggers like yourself on the list.

I agree with teknologist @ 14, when you dip your toes into anything poloitical, you get consumed by it. I know your intention was to show the tech side of politics, and if I had the chance, I would have done the same.
I would have posted to a new blog about anything political so as to keep a seperation between my passion (tech) and this opportunity.
You have the readership to overcome this, however, you will suffer several mistakes like this (Forbes article).

Stay away from politics or at least, keep it somewhere else!

It's a list of the most popular/famous, not most deserving. So, while it's nice of you and Arrington to do the whole humble bit, but you are talking about apples and oranges!

If you actually invented anything valuable enough that was worth protecting from detractors by hiring an independent contractor, your boast "nor will I pay anyone to edit that page on my behalf" might mean something. As it stands, it doesn't.
