Congratulations! BTW, Milan shares the birthday with my 1st daughter (she turned 5 years old today).

9lbs is no little baby! I also wish Maryam a speedy recovery. Yup, we get the easy part, so now it's the time to give back :-)

Now Patrick gets to be a big brother. ;)

Thanks for sharing this touching moment of your life. Talk about transparency buddy.

    Cheers!

I gave birth to my 2nd child with no drugs at all. Maryam's description of what it felt like was kind so as not to make you feel bad. ;-)

    Congratulations!

Congratulations to you all, and enjoy the lack of sleep (oy). Have wonderful times, and lots of healing and organic stuff. Glad for you all.

Glad to hear that all is well and both mother and baby are healthy. I'm looking at this situation in my own life in the coming month, or rather whenever our first baby decides that he/she wants to great the world.

Thomas took some fantastic photos. I am looking forward to the photos that Patrick has taken. I think I need to get an additional 4GB card before the baby gets here and a new external hard drive just for the baby's photos.

Congratulations! I am so glad everyone is doing great and made it safely through the journey! Makes you wonder what people did before there were hospitals. That is a real bummer that Maryam's epidural did not take all the way. That happened to my wife also and it is not fun at all. (our son is one) I can't believe how much I have enjoyed following along through this process. Thanks so much for sharing it with everyone. It really made me remember our birth experience and how the whole thing is such a whirlwind, crazy, intense, beautiful experience! Congratulations to again to everyone.

I admire the transparency with which you handled the labor and delivery. I believe it will help others who are having their first baby and need to know it's nothing to be afraid of (everyone always is)

I'm coming up next weekend to see Milan! (Well, to go to Health 2.0, too) But I will respect your need for privacy if Maryam needs rest. Let me know. And much love.

Congrats and best of luck to baby Milan.

Robert & Maryam Congrats! Alex went through some frustrations with getting an epidural as well... not fun. Seriously you've gotta respect mothers.

Our best to you and the family.

Congrats, Robert and Maryam! Let us know what the experience is like. Our little one arrives in less than 2 months... Can't wait!
  • Robert Scoble · 2 years ago
Ines: she had an epidural, it just wasn't working as well as it should have been. Toward the end it didn't work at all.
  • Robert Scoble · 2 years ago
kms007: make sure you get to the birthing classes. They helped immeasurably for us. Good luck and can't wait to hear your stories.
  • Shelley · 2 years ago
That is one handsome little baby. The photos Thomas Hawke took are very nice.

I like Milan. It has style, and Milan William Scoble rolls nicely off the tongue.

    Congratulations to the entire family.
