I'm with you Robert, that is a bloody awful redesign. What the hell was wrong with the old one? RSS truly is a godsend.

Green can be a sad and ugly color with the perfectly ugly design.

Yeah, I actually emailed him directly about the font on the site, its pretty bad, but the design....it gave me a nervous disorder..

I hate the design of most of Gawker sites now. I was so pissed when they ruined Lifehacker. Now Valleywag. And the worst thing is they don't listen to their user's feedback. The only great redesign was Gizmodo.

The funny thing is Engadget and the Weblogs Inc. blogs all look fantastic after redesign. Hrmm I guess there's always been a subconscious reason Engagdet comes before Gizmodo in my bookmarks.

Also, very sad that Nick's gone. Double the bad news. Anyway, thank goodness for RSS indeed.

Ouch! You aren't kidding, that is one ugly design. But as you point out, that is the beauty of RSS. With some of my favorite sites, it would likely be weeks before I noticed a design change.

It's that Ask.com ad on the left sidebar that is truly hideous. I'd read 100 paid-for posts just not to see that awful ad ever again.

That is the ugliest design for a tech oriented site that I have seen in a long time. I can't believe they screwed it up so badly.

It will be interesting to see how long the site lasts without him - and with that horrible 1996 design.
