You can still have an RSS feed from those links, but there is a good infrastrucure in place for finding new links and sharing links in place. For most people, there would be no functinal change -- an RSS feed full of linky goodness, but it would allow easty access to see how you have tagged things in categories, and I can also see how many other people are linking to the things you link to.

Re: Speaking of linking to other people…

yeah, I really love your link blog. i have started one of my own because of it!

thanks!

Re: Speaking of linking to other people…

I subscribe to your link blog's RSS and I say please keep it up. Suppose I want to link to one of the blog your earmarked, how could I link to your link blog, as well as link to the blog where you found it, as well as link to the original post, in one go. There should be a widget that allows you to put the whole chain at the bottom of one's own post. It would credit everyone, and it would be interesting to follow the original post's voyage. But maybe there is already one such widget, and I am not aware of it.

Re: Speaking of linking to other people…

I have only now discovered your links blog. It works great for me and I am always finding interesting things to clip and keep. There's some duplication with feeds I already subscribe to, but this is a great way to learn about other feeds that I don't monitor or that I don't even know about.

So it works for me, because you notice a lot the same kinds of things that I am interested in. And even though there are also things I don't care about, the quality is very high for me.

Seeing how well this works, I'm tempted to set up a river and do the same thing. But it's only temptation so far. And a mild one at that.
