Or you can just read Fark.com each day. Seem like hear about more there first than anywhere else. The two you mention have been all over Fark for quite some time now.

    YA RLY

You're just now discovering this? What's next? Showing us "All your base are belong to us"? Pay attention, man!
  • Sacha · 3 years ago
It's always a pleasure having you and Maryam over. BTW, my last name is spelled "Sacha."

    SRSLY!

There are lots of other BUSHISMS. Search "Internets"... also "Nuculur"..

"'I’d hit it' is for anything you think is good."

Is it really that generic now? I believe the more common usage is that "hit" is really a euphemism for sex.

I can't believe I am about to link to the urban dictionary...

    http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=...

I am not trying to be clever. I can just imagine some awkward moments in front of one's children...

Son:"Hey, Dad... I want to ride that pony."
    Dad:"I'd hit it"
Son: Mouth hanging open for 15 seconds.
    Mom: “O RLY!”

If you think THAT is cool and new you should check out this crazy star wars kids I've been hearing so much about. Or perhaps this myspace thing? Not sure what it's all about. Them crazy kids. Gotta get back to my dial up BBS, Tradewars ahoy!

I feel like I'm the teenager chastising his dad for trying to be cool, but....

Both of those catchphrases are OLD. o rly was being used on forums years ago.

OK, I'm probably really out of the loop, but what is a "meme"?
  • Robert Scoble · 3 years ago
LayZ: where's your blog so I can be up to date on all the latest trends.

Dummy here: use "the Google" to learn what a meme is.

oh, and "i'd hit it" doesnt mean something is good. it means that you would like to have sexual relations with somebody.
  • Mark · 3 years ago
Yawn, this has been old for a good 5 months now.
  • LayZ · 3 years ago
@12 That fact that you ask for a blog in order to know that the hell is going on outside your little world is exactly the problem. It's not my fault you're the one looking like a hipster doofus. (you can look that one up, too)
  • Thermopyle · 3 years ago
I agree with LayZ, Robert just sees the world from his own little niche.
  • Nathan · 3 years ago
I used "The Google" to define "I'd hit it." Apparently those of us on the interweb stole it from McDonald's.

"shens" is a nice, relatively fresh meme.

qft and ofn are some nice ones too, though more forums specific.

    I found this post amusing.

@12 - You don't need look at a blog to be up on the latest trends. The fact that you think you do just shows what is wrong.
