They make a list and drive more traffic towards your site. That's cool for you - but not for me!!

Why would I want to use pubsub if they are culling the wrong blogs into the chamber of "communites of practice" ?? If I were to search for PR then I want that list to only have PR blogs - not some joeblow who wrote a single entry which is releated to PR !!

Not to undermine pubsub , Bob et al are doing great work - but there is certainly meta data that's needs to tagged , harvested and then only can be ranked. There exits no methods to cull the former. The question then becomes simple - how do I catogorize a blog ? Should scobles blog come under tech ?? Afterall if its tech, then I don't want to be reading about maryam and minirobert listen to adult podcasts !! :)- correct ?

Re: Pubsub’s new reading lists interesting

me and the other hundred millions of people who don't search blog don't have a use for technorati and all those sites. most of the time I need to find a specific person's blog not material so I usually goto google and type in Scoble.. Scoble,The blog master

Re: Pubsub’s new reading lists interesting

As I recall, Robert, you posted a while back that all these lists were lame. Except this is indeed a niche list, which means you'd like it after all. Except neither Naked Conversations (#2) nor ItSeemstome (#4) are actually PR sites. In any case, they are driving lots of traffic, which means we'll probably remain prominent because they made the list to begin with.

Interesting.

Re: Pubsub’s new reading lists interesting

Scoble gives sound advice to the competition: http://spaces.msn.com/membe...

Re: Pubsub’s new reading lists interesting

While we're on the topic of Wordpress bugs. Frequently when I go to your blog I see the "dashboard" thing at the top and tells me I'm scobleizer. Fortunately (or unfortunately, depending on how you look at it :-p), if I click the new post line or the my account link I get bumped to the login screen.
I'm on MS campus, so basically its a NAT thing, but the shouldn't use IP address for identity.

Re: Pubsub’s new reading lists interesting

Unrelated, but you may wish to talk to Wordpress.com about this...

I just got sent to the following error page when accessing your site: http://wordpress.com/errors...

Now, it tells you to reload... but reloading the static error page doesn't do you much good, for obvious reasons.

Maybe you could get them to reword it? :-)

Re: Pubsub’s new reading lists interesting

I'd love to put together the "Robert Scoble List". I'm a graphics whore from time to time. But hey, I'm more likely to return to a site that visually pleases me.
