Some things way to loud, some things way too soft. Unless it's just me the audio level on these two are way different. Can't this be fixed after the content is recorded (post-production or whatever it is called)? I have pretty good speakers here, so I'm not worried about overloading them, more about blasting my aging eardrums. Some sort of "industry standard" sound level would be nice. Is there such a thing?

3: Maybe related to 1 and/or 2: I don't see any volume or stream controls (if this is a Linux or Firefox limitation I can live with it). I noticed I can sort of click ahead in the stream, but the indicator seems to be indicating how much of the stream has downloaded, not where I am in it. So my clicks are just guesses about how much ahead or back I want to go in the video.

Re: Ning 2.0 launches: build your own social network

WOW!

And the product looks impressive too. I chose a userid that I wouldn't want to use for the site name (as per #13).

Re: Ning 2.0 launches: build your own social network

Would be great if you could play these videos at 1.5x speed within this control. I used to do that with Channel 9.

Re: Ning 2.0 launches: build your own social network

Update, I got a comment from Gina @ Ning here http://www.ericrice.com/blo...

Hopefully, I can get my account deleted so I can start over.

I appreciate the feedback.

Re: Ning 2.0 launches: build your own social network

I just got hosed by Ning and I'm pissed off, so read this before you get all excited when signing up: http://www.ericrice.com/blo...

Grr.

Re: Ning 2.0 launches: build your own social network

Terrific interview!

Re: Ning 2.0 launches: build your own social network

Ivan -- damn, too many Marc's :-).

Re: Ning 2.0 launches: build your own social network

Marc,
Thanks - I do want to contact you and will. No response. But I can put Snipperoo widgets in Ning within a few seconds of making a site.
Scoreline so far: Ning 1: PeopleAggregator 0

Re: Ning 2.0 launches: build your own social network

Check out this list of all the social networks that you can rebrand.
