Scobleizer: My blogroll is up to date

  • Stefan Constantinescu · 4 years ago
This is one of the many reasons I wish Dave Winer would include tagging in the OPML format. Tagging all your feeds, with a few key words describing them. Letting me, be able to dynamically display catagories based off your metadata.

I've been itching to write a heavy worded post on my blog, and I definitly will soon. I love OPML, but it needs to evolve right now before it's too late.

"I love this post about PowerPoint usage at Microsoft."

Though the original source of the linked post was Presentation Zen the blog, the blog you linked to is pretty interesting too...thanks!

"This is one of the many reasons I wish Dave Winer would include tagging in the OPML format."

Why not just start using an attribute called "tags"? What else would it mean?
  • Tejas Patel · 4 years ago
Robert, thanks, looks you are still subsribed to my feed. I will suggest that you update my feed links now. I have now been long moved to www.itejas.com from http://geekswithblogs.net/tpatel . I also blog tech. related material at www.softwareandtools.com .

Hey how about my blog ;-)
    http://www.userscape.com/blog/

Follow the rantings of my journey starting a company built on both Windows and open source platforms. One of the things I don't see written about over here too often is downloadable server apps that 'go both ways' or just downloadable b2b apps in general.

How sad, Blankbaby is no longer on your blogroll. :(

Well, you're subscribed to my old feed too - the new one is at:

"How about blogs that tell Microsoft where it can improve? " --- really? then get http://xml.msmobiles.com feed --- http://msmobiles.com was telling Microsoft how to improve for years already. Please note that several things postulated at msmobiles.com materialized (years later)...

I am finding that being forward is better, despite my natural reticence, so I'm going to pitch the latest incarnation of my weblog for consideration.

I'm writing about my work on Identity Management and Roles Based Access Control, as well as games, gaming, mobiles, mobile games and what we're doing with said technology.

    so, without more preamble: http://cro.alienpants.com/

LOL! You really want to start watching several million subscriptions?

Great to see the blogroll, I'm impressed you got around to cleaning it up, subscription list gardening is no fun.

    Scobleizer Guy,

I've been reading your blog pretty regularly.

I dont know if you can help -- I just want you to know that Microsoft have strong disabilities program but they doesnt offer captions on their marketing video at Microsoft.com website. It's odd isn't it? By the way, I am deaf myself.

I posted about it some time ago but nobody noticed. Grrr

Grant: thanks. I'm still trying to figure out how to do transcriptions. They are a real pain to do, though, which is why they aren't being done.

To everyone else, I've subscribed. Thanks!

Well, as you have one of my blogs on that list, why not try the other - itphasechange.blogspot.com - on SOA, virtualisation and the technologies that make Web 2.0 possible. After all, user interfaces need a back end...
  • scobleizer · 4 years ago
    Simon: subscribed, thanks!

Well, if you are looking for rambling suggestions on how Microsoft can improve I could humbly suggest my own blog, Applied Abstractions, http://www.espen.com/weblog , but I only write on that intermittently. You might like this piece: http://www.acm.org/ubiquity/views/v5i22_anderse... mostly because it seems to be what Microsoft is doing.

    Robert,

Dunno whether it's great enough to suit your taste, but it's somewhat unique. Covers mostly databases -- Microsoft and, more recently, Google.

Which is a problem cause everywhere I speak now they want PowerPoints. Got one due on Monday

Robert - the issue for us wasn't that we wanted you to use PowerPoint particularly - rather, we want to use a single laptop to run the presentations of all the speakers so as long as it is some presentation program we could get our hands on, we wouldn't mind if it was Keynote, or Notepad!

I can't speak for other conferences obviously, but I'm sure they'd be equally accomodating.
  • Brandon Paddock · 4 years ago
Wow, you updated it very quick! :)

And boy am I loving WordPress... and having direct control over my host. The statistics alone were worth the move from my previous .Text host.

Strangely I can not seem to open your OPML with the OPML editor. It just shows a black icon. :-(

I just stumbled upon your blog and I'm very impressed, but how did you get your title bar like that? Please let me know at oostah@gmail.com or in a comment at http://oosterhouse.wordpress.com/

    Thanks!
