Hi Scobleizer,

I have a weird need. I had a topic on the Apple forum regarding iPhone 3G stabilization issues, battery life and so on.

Over last 3 days it turned into some discussions directly between me and Apple site moderators. They deleted 4-5 posts which highlighted some direct facts and most importantly, one moderator's comments that "You are of course right in that Apple botched this project entirely"

Now, Apple moderators made my access Read-only, so no freedom to speak.

I need some medium to publish the screen shots which I took before they were wiped off from the site ... If you want to see them before helping to the people, I would be fine.

I can't wait this is going to be great and it's only 48hrs away! What other Phone in the world makes people wrap around building for hours. They skip school, call in sick for work. They should make every day that a new Iphone comes out a holiday. Everyone wants to complain about the #1 phone in world. I say. Screw the Haters. The Iphone kicks butt... Nothing in the world is perfect. But there's so many Pro's to the Iphone that it makes people come out in droves! Droves! Rock on Iphone!! Show some Iphone Luv...!!!

I was an early adopter iPhone user myself (tho' I'd heard the price drop rumors and waited until that happened), and although they're not adding big bells and whistles to this second-gen model I do think that faster connections, more storage and a proper GPS is enough for some folks to upgrade. Truthfully, all I do with the thing is use it as an iPod when I travel or forget my nano at the gym, make phone calls, Yelp new restaurants when I'm on a business trip and standing outside one wondering if I should eat there, and find myself when lost (often). That being said, doing these things better or faster or with more storage isn't enough of a reason for me personally to ditch a perfectly good phone - especially since it seems likely that the third-gen is already in progress.

Plus, I break things. A lot. (So, best to wait until I break this one and the third-gen is out.)

The addition of a video camera might have sent me to the upgrade camp... looking forward to that someday.

On the plus side, a faster connection does mean that people can easily manage their CafePress shops on-the-fly from remote locations... http://blog.cafepress.com/?...

Which is good for the headline-driven tee purveyor. ;)

we had predicted that Apple was about to revolutionize video calling... a source told us this was coming. we think it still is but later. video calling requires hardware, namely a video camera, front-end. apple didn't pull this off.

also, unrelated, but a bit concerning... what's going on with Steve Jobs, this guy is way to skinny, i sure hope he is well. Apple needs him, tech needs him, we need him!

With all eyes in the mobile world on Apple this week I thought I thought the time was right to talk about what we believe is the best way to conduct a mobile web search on a device like the iPhone…a device with a rich, full screen, touchscreen only. Namely: Voice search. You say it, our speech recognition (running on a server) produces text, the text automatically dumps into the search engine that’s the subscriber’s choice (Google, AOL, MSN, etc.), the search engine returns results. Or via voice, search for any content from your local iTunes playlists.

Using the Apple developer kit, we’ve been hard at work developing impressive technology that make the iPhones capabilities even more powerful. Voice search. Song search and selection. At the touch of a button and simply by saying the word. Over the next few days – as the excitement mounts for the WWDC – we’ll be sharing more and more details here on our blog. For now though, I think all of us should sit back, relax and enjoy the show.

Of course, we believe the most powerful use of speech would be running on the iPhone itself (vs a remote server) and made available to the developer community via iPhone’s SDK APIs.

This post is a great demonstration of the problem with blogging. You simply do not quote your sources and say they are unreliable. It mqke your blog look bad and it pisses off your sources.

You 'bloggers' like to bash the so called Old Media but the Old Media would never report something and the say... "oh by the way what we just reported is complete BS because our sources are crap'

Umm, Snow Leopard 10.6 too, plus 3rd party iPhone applications, with 10.5.4 in 2 weeks or so. But I thought the touch-screen mini-tablet was going to hit, but it might all be 10.6, 3G and way way cheaper subbed iPhones.

The BIG RUMOR be if they are finally gonna bless OS X on PCs (10.6 being Intel only), so no need for Hackintoshing, the whole lack of action on the Psystar being worth a ponder. So 10.6 and OS X on PCs? That news is way bigger than simple iPhone refreshes.
