World-brand-building mistakes France’s entrepreneurs make
Cesar Menendez says it'll have a podcast client. Which reminds me: it's nice to know that Microsoft has finally accepted that a rival's coining of a term (podcasting) doesn't mean you have to dodge around the name or the concept.

"Zune will play podcasts. I'm actually listenting to a podcast right now. If you bring the audio file into the software (like a wma or mp3 file), you can play it on your Zune. Beyond that, there will be other options for podcasting support for future releases."
Since this is the official blog, I'd give it some credit.
They have been testing a Podcatching client.

But I'm guessing it's not coming out with rev 1.
Looking forward to your show sir.
Show us the way ;-)

Anyways, it is good that MS realized that just because they didn't create podcasts doesn't mean that they cannot implement the feature into their products. Podcasts might have started with Apple, but anybody can be a piece of it now.
/we need direct link!
I think it will not be in the first player, or at least not fully-functional.
It's not specified in any of yesterday's press materials, and I don't see any clear answers from Microsoft in response to yesterday's many interviews.
Even ZuneInsider's response leaves some room for interpretation.
My guess: we'll see a limited form in November, and full podcasting support integrated into Zune II.

Won't play PlaysForSome, will add DRM to open content (including Creative Commons licenced content - which is a nono), too big, available in Brown, no release date, no pricing.
On the plus side, it supports AAC :)
Good luck on the show -- can't wait. Andy

Just playing but it's excellent to see you will be going live soon!
I wouldn't want him around to detract you during your next phase.
I wish I could be a fly on the wall
So tell us more about Zune or Zoom or whatever it is now
You said that as if that was a bad thing. But I don't so much as watch TV, as read. Keep up with all tho, Darla's birthday and all and your clowning around. ;)
How'd the AFT screening go? Gonna have a Friscoy screening?
