What qualifies as "late night?" and where? I'm out in Wheaton (1hr west) and I'll buy you a beer if you're in the west burbs.

Are you coming back to Chicago around October 12th perhaps? That is when we are throwing TECH cocktail 2 (www.techcocktail.com) and Frank and I would love to have you there. :-) I'd also be up for grabing a snack tomorrow night if you'd like.

"listen to the presentation I gave at San Jose State University."

I just did. Now that's great content - beats the meat counter any day! Thanks to you and the SJ guys for making this available.

I'm out in the west Chicago burbs, too. I'd be interested in meeting up depending on the time and location.

There's a place called Taylor Brewing Co, off of IL-56 (Butterfield) and Highland (immediately accessible from I-88). It's about 15 mins from my place near Butterfield & Naperville Rd.

also in the western burbs, but can take Metra downtown if a meet-up is happening there - the System i User Group on which I'm a board member sometimes adjourns to the Taylor Brewing Company, as we meet in the Embassy Suites hotel next door - presented an introduction and demo on RoR there just last night

I'm digging the podcast from your San Jose State appearance. Good stuff.

Great podcast, that was a really fun listen.

In the podcast you say that a blogger can't cover Iraq. What about River? She has done a fantastic job.

What about the Thai Coup coverage, with pictures on Flickr?

Bloggers can cover news events, not as well as reporters, but as River shows, can be much better.
