Scobleizer: Could corporate types use Twitter?

  • David Armano · 2 years ago
    Hi Robert,

Nice point about getting poked in the ribs at the party. Though if it were a celeb like the one referenced in my hypothetical situation *hint someone like a Paris Hilton. She would probably shrug it off and say:
Bacardi just paid me 5k for that text message sucker!

Then my guess is that she wouldn't get poked anymore. At least not in the context we're talking about. :)

The question really should be ... "Should anyone use Twitter?" :)

I think corporate people could deff. use Twitter. I dont know if I want it being used for "product placement" like David says. They could use it to rack meetings and such. Do they have the time to use Twitter?

Absolutely, if the audience grows enough. IMO, the buzz around Twitter lately has been amazing. It will be interesting to see what types of monetization methods get used by the corporate types and disclosure (if any).

I certainly do, and I'm the CTO of our company, which makes me a corporate type. I use twitter as a way of keeping in touch with friends, as an instant focus group, as a seed for Diggstorms, for opinions, knowledge, research, and as the occasional distraction during the workday.
