I live walking distance from Sam's (in El Granada) and really want it to thrive. No doubt it's a great spot to have a meal. But with the same ownership of Cetrella, I've been hoping for more.

And the lobster roll...haven't noticed anything spectacular about it. But maybe it's because I can't get past noticing how inconsistent the service is there. Once had to wait 90 minutes for a meal...another time my wife's dinner came out cold. If my family couldn't go for a nice stroll down the hill and go there, I'm not sure I'd ever go out of my way to have a meal there. Hanging out and having a beer there? Yup, perfect place for that...especially now that they have that outdoor patio area in the back.

Next time you head this side of rt. 92, blow by Sam's and treat yourself to the best burrito on the coast -- El Gran Amigo Taqueria in Moss Beach.

J.J. That sandwich does sound good though. To bad I am not there.
