Scobleizer: Back from the Firefox party … Jeff Ubois on book scanning on Dave Winer’s RSS couch

  • Gary Short · 3 years ago
You are right, there is a lot happening in London but, as prices are so high there, there are lots of great tech elsewhere in the UK as well. Here in Dundee there's great games companies, not to mention some of the best bio-tech anywhere in the world. Next time you are in the UK, you should look us up, besides, us Scots know how to party. ;)

    Cheers,
    Gary

The Windows Live dude here....! Was great to meet you Robert. Hugh too. Especially enjoyed your points about the YouTube/Google acquisition. An overall surreal experience though; meeting up with a bunch of geeks id never met before and going for a few pints.

Tried to make it to the Firefox party but got caught up in the office :-/

@Jamie: I don't think we got around to having a proper conversation, but I was the guy with the Windows Live Jacket on and Microsoft Student Bag! :)

Great day indeed. Thank you Robert, Hugh, Sam and all the crawlers. Revolutions have been started by less men (and taken less time!). So... when is the next Scoblecrawl?
  • Ivan Pope · 3 years ago
Uuurgh, aaagh. Just resurfacing after topping off the crawl with the Internet People and Firefox parties. Good fun, video coming later.

A truly excellent way to spend a Friday afternoon - Drinking with a large group, most of whom you've not met before, but who made excellent company. My notable "mentions" for excellent beer buddies have to include Ivan Pope, the Martin Davies, Martin Judd, Sam Sethi and Hugh Macloud, as well as Robert. PS Robert, don't forget about making use of veotags on podtech or at the very least asking Guy Kawasaki about them when you see him next.

hey, wonder if you could address a factual problem in your WSJ debate with Winer.

Searching "Scoble blog" at live.com and google both yield the old weblogs site instead of the new one as the first result

I've got chronic tinea. And it's itchy! It started in my toes, but didn't waste any time making its way to my crotch.

Bugger, sometimes it's tough being a Kiwi!

Does anyone have a cure? I'm sure most of you tech geeks have had something similar at one time or another.

Robert - Good to meet you Friday morning, I see you survived till the Firefox bash...my liver wouldn't allow me to go on the pub crawl :)
  • Darren Straight · 3 years ago
    Ok peeps, pics uploaded:

    Hi Robert and all,

Was great to meet you and everyone (albeit briefly) - I was the guy from the British Library. Don't always get the chance to grab a couple of beers before heading back to work in the afternoon! And cheers for the photos, Darren.
  • Robert Scoble · 3 years ago
Matt: the search comparison I was doing is for simply:

    scoble

    Not "Scoble's blog."

Lots of people search the search engines for "scoble" so that's the more important one to fix.

Hi Robert, nice to meet you again.

Just to say no need to specifically blog that anti-comment spam service because I found it (and have now put in a plea to Blogger to incorporate it, or something similar, at http://consumingexperience.blogspot.com/2006/12...).

    Thanks again for the suggestion.

    Imp.
