My girlfriend's sons are both into technology. When I have a question I ask them (they are 10 and 12). I guess I know the difference between a digital native and a digital immigrant.

Re: Apple press conference (the blue monster goes to Cupertino)

David Pogue gave one of the most entertaining sessions at this year's Macworld Expo where he did two great songs about Youtube and music downloading.

Re: Apple press conference (the blue monster goes to Cupertino)

Hey Robert -- I _love_ that you engage your son in what you're doing. LOVE it, man. My daughter is working here in SF, and having worked summers in high school for my Dad, it's great to really know what your Dad does all that time he's bringing home the bacon. Awesome.

Re: Apple press conference (the blue monster goes to Cupertino)

Show them your nokia!
Otherwise they will never support video on the iPhone

Re: Apple press conference (the blue monster goes to Cupertino)

I'm surprised you get excited about a press conference - if anything represented old-school, non-social media, a staged press conference would be it...

Aaron B. Kid has great radar, to be sure.

In the "did you know" category -- with a "kid blogger" aesthetic -- have you taken note of the recent release of the "iPhone the Book" project? Created by a dig:nat named Ethan Bodnar (high school kid, designer, blogger, et al). Shel Israel appears to have added his voice to the project, BTW.

Here's the link: http://www.iphonethebook.com/

Imagine he and Patrick would have a few things to bat around conversationally. Heck, you might enjoy the read in between debates about whether to use the Nokia at the Mac press conference (he smiles).

Cheers from Texas, my friend --
Christian
